| Born and raised in San Diego, Joann and her family started coming to Borrego Springs in 1947 when her parents were able to get a vehicle after WWII. She Graduated from Helix High School in 1962 and San Diego State College in 1969. Joann worked in nursing homes and mental health facilities doing music therapy and reality orientation until 1975 when she married and moved to Ocotillo Wells. She started work as a Park Aid at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and worked her way up to a Regional Administrative Officer I. Joann worked in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Mojave River District in the San Bernardino Mountains and high desert, Lake Perris and back to Anza-Borrego in 1991 and finally Ocotillo Wells Off-Highway Vehicle Area where she retired after 25 years of State service. Hobbies consist of stained glass, mosaics, reading and exploring the desert. Joann volunteers at the Anza-Borrego Visitor Center and for the Colorado Desert Archeology Society. We are very pleased to have her as part of the group here at CUMC Borrego Springs. |

| Tammie is a wife, and mother of two beautiful children. Tammie is working on the completion of her Multi Subject Credential from Cal State Teach and working at the local elementary school as an Instructional Aide. Before moving to Borrego Springs she worked as a preschool teacher and an Instructional Aide for special education. She enjoys working with youth and hopes to make a difference in each one of their lives through our ministry programs like the OaSis. |
