The OaSis is a 4-part program for children and youth on Wednesday evenings* at Community UMC. The OaSis includes:
Activity Time: Participants play games, make crafts and engage in other activities where they experience: "Great fun at the expense of no one."
Meal Time: Participants share a meal with a "family group" table with table "parents" and peers. This is a well prepared sit down dinner based on the evening theme. The meal concludes with a "table activity."
Bible Study Fellowship: Age level classes meet to learn about God and hear the stories of the Old and New Testament using a age-level curriculum, activities, skits, etc.
Worship Skills: Children learn how to glorify God though singing, devotions, tone bells, and learning various skills for worship participation and leadership.
There is only one rule at the OaSis:
Everyone is a child of God & deserves to be treated that way. There is a discipline policy which clarifies how we implement the one rule. This policy can be downloaded.
