Community UMC Men's Club-- We like to eat, talk, and work! Well, maybe the first two a little more than the third. We also seem to find it easier to do all three when the weather let's up and gets below 100 degrees. Generally our group focuses on breakfast gatherings that we also try to work around service commitments and time so that we can get outdoors and work off some of the calories our great cooks provide. A typical gathering includes a little singing (many of us singing similar to tired bull frogs, but usually led by some guys that are louder and more pleasant to hear), a prayer, breakfast, some great fellowship, and then an information session where we talk about various men's activities and outreach projects. All this takes an hour or so, and then those with strong backs typically start wheeling their rakes and digging bars up the hill behind the Church to work on our Path to the Cross project. If you need more details, please feel free to give a call to one of our leadership committee members: Jim Smith, John Porter, Jason Duke, Brian Woodsen, or Ron Burge.
